Such beauty in this nebula! Kind of reminds me of somebody holding
someone dear to them! 🥰
You know it's not a real nebula, right?
Yeah; a cloud of gas!

Then because he was weary after the making of the gods, and because of the drumming of Skarl, did MANA-YOOD-SUSHAI grow drowsy and fall asleep.

And there fell a hush upon the gods when they saw that MANA rested, and there was silence on Pegana save for the drumming of Skarl. Skarl sitteth upon the mist before the feet of MANA-YOOD-SUSHAI, above the gods of Pegana, and there he beateth his drum. Some say that the Worlds and the Suns are but the echoes of the drumming of Skarl, and others say that they be dreams that arise in the mind of MANA because of the drumming of Skarl, as one may dream whose rest is troubled by sound of song, but none knoweth, for who hath heard the voice of MANA-YOOD-SUSHAI, or who hath seen his drummer?
I see it.

Easy to miss the first word “Not” in the caption. I missed it at first.

Orin, I saw the sweet scene too!

It reminds me of Mana-Yood Sushai:

I see your point JohnD! Could be one of them orangutans. What are they doing in our outer space? Don’t we have some sort of “rights to space” treaty or “it’s ours” declaration or something?

My first impression was of a gorilla holding a baby in their arms. Such a sweet scene contrasting from such a violent release of energy!

are colours real?
how long is the exposure?
is the ring a true ring in 3d space or just a light echo looking like a ring from the point of view?

Image The Crew-7 Nebula

Explanation: Not the James Webb Space Telescope's latest view of a distant galactic nebula, this illuminated cloud of gas and dust dazzled early morning spacecoast skygazers on August 26. The snapshot was taken about 2 minutes after the launch of of a Falcon 9 rocket on the SpaceX Crew-7 mission, the seventh commercial crew rotation mission for the International Space Station. It captures drifting plumes and exhaust from the separated first and second stage illuminated against the still dark skies. Near the center of the image, within the ragged blueish ring, are two bright points of light. The lower one is the second stage of the rocket carrying 4 humans to space in a Crew Dragon spacecraft. The bright point above is the Falcon 9 first stage booster orienting itself for the trip back to Landing Zone-1 at Cape Canaveral, planet Earth.
