In that particular case it looks like it - what I meant was the the version on APOD is generally the largest version available on the net.

Always worth a try though.

i kinda figured the 'click on the image' thing by myself ; ). but the credits are a good idea. though it seems (at least in this case) youd have to pay for a bigger res or a print...

You can always try clicking on the credits lists below the pictures - might be worth a try - generally though, clicking on the APOD image gives you the largest version available.... :)

is there a way to get better resolutions of the pictures frmo apod? ok. most of them are really big sized. but this one for example isnt:
