The distance of NGC 6552 is about 116 Mpc (http://ned.ipac.caltech.edu/byname?objname=NGC+6552&hconst=67.8&omegam=0.308&omegav=0.692&wmap=4&corr_z=1) and the one of the Cat Eye is at least 1365 pc (http://simbad.u-strasbg.fr/simbad/sim-id?Ident=%4011673229&Name=NGC++6543&...

Distance???
Distance on the illustration does not fit those of Hipparcos. The parallax of Alnilam on the catalog is 2,43 (under the entry 26311). This parallaxe correspond to a distance of (1/0.00243) pc = 411 pc or about 1350 light-year, not 1976 ly.

All the sources consulted mention a distance of 400 to 500 light years, as well as previous APOD publications. We would like to know where this new distance comes from.

Maui is at a latitude of 20° or so. The limit declination is (20°-90°) = -70, not -30. Error in the text or is it the limit declination of the telescope?

SoHO is not a Earth-orbiting satellite. In fact the observatory is orbiting around Lagrangian L1 point and the Sun (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGm-nrgAIzM).

The time interval beetween two rises of Phobos is 11h 6min, so on Mars you see 2 rises of that moon per day, rarely 3 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phobos_(m ... cteristics)

From the top of the image along the diagonal, the galaxies of this image are : IC 5168, NGC 7214, HCG 91d, ESO 467-13 and ESO 467-15. Thank to Aladin, but i would like to know which are HCG 91a, HCG 91b and HCG 91c. Also, how many galaxies compose that group, 4 or more?

According to the moon's data of the nssdc (http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/planetary/factsheet/moonfact.html), it's distance at perigee is 363300 km, not the 356790 km reported on Anthony Ayiomamitis's web site. The mean radius of Rhea is greater then 750 km (http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/planetary/fa ... tfact.html) . The radius of the water sphere is smaller compare to that moon.
