Re: APOD: Solar System Family Portait (2019 Feb 14)

I agree it is beautiful... Todays post on the 15th is about Opportunity and it's 15 years on Mars... I believe that there was much more info we the public could have been given about mars and of course Voyager and we were NOT given Data... So much locked up for only NASA to see... There was so much ...

Re: Photos of Space from Space.

I thought a little more about that. The light has Already gone Many "D's" in distance. The light level at the point of inception with the earths surface is down only .28 magnitudes from level at the point of interception with the earths upper atmosphere. And that is due to Atmospheric abso...

Re: Photos of Space from Space.

Thanks for your reply. It was very informing.. .28 magnatudes per air mass is something I knew not. That answers the question of photos of space from space... As far as the path loss formula. That is correct, I believe, for electromagnetic radiation.. I don't know if light is electromagnetic radiati...

Hello. As a kid I used to wake up early to watch the Geminis take off from Capr Canavral. was very excitting as a kid. BUT I never saw a picture of space. When I got older I got into Electronics. I learned a formula. Path Loss in DB=37+20LogDin Miles+20LogF in Mhz... Then someone said that don't wor...

Re: Bang or No Bang

Yes maybe so.. But I could still catch the bubble that must be moving in a circular ball direction from the big bang origen. I may be able to detect CMB as I approch and lose it as I pass threw the universe that from which I came.. The one where the Big Bang has already passed threw.. What ya think....

Re: Bang or No Bang

If we had a very fast spaceship, that went zillions of times faster than light, could we catch up with the Big Bang wavefront?

Looks like I may have got my question answered.
I was watching NASA TV and someone said Main TX for data was OTS and
on standby TX. I guess no pretty pictures.

Re: Center of our universe

Would it be that the big bang is just arriving at some point now in space as we read and write this? The energy field I would say is opposite in direction from where it started. Would need to look for a different type of energy field than what we currently know? Look at that. With your question I as...
