Don't know if it's just me, but the APOD Search Feature just stopped returning any results from any type of Search about 48 Hrs ago, and I have yet to see a similar post from anyone. Interesting, must just be me.......TBIRD7777

I'm guessing this photo has been posted before, I have not checked. But in the notes below it states that this was taken on Dec. 13th, And it was taken on Dec. 13th, but Dec. 13th 2007. The impression they have given is that it was taken in 2009, so they should re-write their blurb, or put the year ...

In over three years of tracking APOD everyday I have never known them to miss-classify a deep-sky object. So my first post to this forum was to point one out? I think I would be remiss not to give them a hand for that and for quickly correcting Saturday's Typo.......

I think we should correctly call Omega Centauri by it's rightful NGC Number! NGC 5239 is a small common Spiral Galaxy in Bootes nowhere close to Omega Centauri.... NGC 5139 is the correct classification number for Omega Centauri. I think I see where the problem might have been........typo! :) Thanks...
