i'm looking for an active forum that shares hdev status updates and especially educational cloud patterns. when hdev first got running, there was a predictable cycle of the four camera views. this has since been abandoned and you never know what you'll get-- the nadir cam almost never shows up anymo...

How wide was the flash? Very important question! As best I can guestimate using Google Earth's Moon map (which appears inverted compared to this APOD image), the round crater below the flash is about ten miles wide, so the flash is one-half to one mile in diameter. The 'reset' button on the site-registration form is dangerously ambiguous-- I expected it to give me a more readable captcha. (I've never seen a submission form with that sort of reset before.)
