'Tis but a rumour!! ;) Only asked as the word "Fall" is starting to replace the other word...what was it again? :?

Thanks, appreciate your efforts and posts.

EDIT:: I am enjoying watching the days getting longer down here. Yay! Oz.

One of the more thought provoking images. What else will the eight year old see before his time is up?

Whatever happened to Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere? Or perhaps too few of us down this way use that word?

A clip that gives a certain objectivity to Earth and us who dwell on it.

Brilliant bit of image compilation. Thanks!

Congratulations on this photo. It puts "us" into perspective without doubt and is a major reason why this is my favourite site to visit daily. I am also impressed that : " robotic Cassini spacecraft now the gas giant." Humans are most clever at being able to replace Saturn with o...

Brilliant display and work. Still thoroughly enjoying APOD and never miss one for if I am away, I just time travel back along their world line. BUT! A first. Snipped: "Expansive das and dust clouds collide...." Can you pick it? Or perchance I am wrong and there lies a new term I have not c...

I would wager an Airbus A330-200 operated by Jetstar out of Hobart. Flight.....JQ724. Though that might be a little TOO early.

There. I took a punt.

Re: Poll: When I couldn't find APOD online, I thought....

Coming from the other side of this planet, my first instinct was web failure. We generally miss out on stuff down-under. Then perchance a fundamentalist group took exception to the science and following that, my ADSL Router. After all, it had been mucking around. So with other sites flying nicely, I...

I just love how the next set of videos after viewing the flight over Earth, are all UFO based! Now why have we not seen some scientific photos of these clever alien craft on APOD?

Of course! They are too clever to be snapped by scientists.

Have fun!

Hey All!!!

It would seem that a lot of petulant kids like APOD. HAHAHA! Strewth! If it's free, then be grateful.

I particularly liked how it sent me off on a tangent that I would not otherwise have contemplated. :D

Boo All from Aust, In short, anything Shuttle. Shame it is all over. Endeavour would be a good subject mainly because of Australia's links to her namesake and she is the baby of the fleet...missed out on all the extra flights. Then Columbia ought to get a run. She was the first and the one everyone ...

So, Mr. Spock, when did you first begin to suspect that life was an illusion? Rob Ah.... to quote Mr Spock.... "It's life Jim, but not as we know it......" Or was that Weird Al??? In any event, the Klingons against multi-verses will just be angry....or would they be calm? Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Boo All! I have read over the last year a number of articles pertaining to multi-verses, ranging from why the gravitational force is so weak ~ it leaks from our Universe to others, to mathematics and probabilities driving our thinking towards there being additional universes in order for the chance ...

I just love how people are incapable of giving credit where credit is due!!! It is for real. You can check with QANTAS that they have a service that matches the details others have worked out using maths. Further, those who understand PhotoShop and its cousins - even those within Linux such as Blend...

Not sure if it's a montage. In order to capture the airplane like that, it looks as if it would have to be flying right overhead, right? That's not impossible for a plane, but for the Moon, during daylight and at that stage? Just an opinion, I don't claim to declare the image is a montage, but I'd ...

Boo All!!

Brilliantly stunning images that have been submitted but how on Earth did Kangaroo Moon get taken? Truly 'unreal' and certainly worth elevation to APOD. I would rate it as the very best Moon/aircraft picture I have ever seen. Well done photographer!!!!!

have fun!
