What a laughably bad example of photo manipulation! It is completely unrealistic.

I think it would be more accurate to refer to them as Chinese ASTROLOGERS, rather than astronomers, because that is what they were.

I find it amazing that they can measure the masses of the two merging objects and the resulting object from those spectrograms! How is it possible?

I don't know where you get that impression! I cannot find any dictionary where it can mean anything other than an annual occurrence, which is more logical.

Four year anniversary? A bit of tautology there - it is the fourth anniversary!

Is anyone else irritated by the lack of realism of the image? The right hand moon is blotting out the light from the sky, even though the moon is much further away, which is obviously impossible.

It is surprising that the object is 500 LY away and yet there is not a single star in front of it. There are so many stars in that area that one would expect a few of them to be closer than the cloud.
