Re: Submissions: 2022 January

Orion at the beach. Saturday night was a beautiful clear, calm night with the tide out. A campfire behind the headland added colourful smoke and made the scene more atmospheric. This is a stacked and tracked shot. 20x 2min for the sky, blended with a 3min foreground shot of the Oregon Coast at Hug P...

Lunar Eclipse with Mount Jefferson. This is a single frame shot of the Moon at approx 04:45 on Wednesday morning while the Moon was leaving the Umbra. The morning sky allowed me to shoot Mount Jefferson and the Moon in a single shot. It was a super viewing experience, and well worth the long drive a...

12hrs of RGB with 2 hrs of Lum.
This object never gets higher than 19.5 degrees from my observatory, so this was a very tricky data capture and process.

Re: Breaking Wave around Gamma Cass.

[ I love it! :D Because I am a diehard fan of stars that are not only blue but intrinsically bright as well, Gamma Cas is obviously a favorite of mine. Here is a video I made from 30 single frames on the 12th of August 2016. The smoke trail from a bright Perseid can be seen up to 13minutes after the meteor passed by. Each frame is 25s, f/2.8, and ISO 3200. The video is shown at 6 frames per sec. Thanks Tom. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_i_DULan-...
