After taking a step back and looking at what both parties submitted , I can say without any hesitations that the points brought up forward by Damian Peach and Emil Kraaikamp are more than conclusive and unfortunately the video uploaded from Jesus Santos Garzas and his explanations are not conclusive...

I understand your point of view but when you say that the promotion of science is the ultimate goal, I have to say that fake data is not science, it is pseudoscience.

APOD doesn't need a selection committee. Even if there are occasional faked pictures (and there are damn few), this doesn't represent all that serious of a problem. .
