Messier 93 in Puppis

M93 is one of the latest deep sky objects personally found by Charles Messier. It was discovered and catalogued on March 20, 1781. The cluster is rather small but bright and gathers approximately 80 members covering an area of 20 to 25 light years across. The brightest stars of M93 are blue giants of type B9 and its age has been estimated as roughly 100 million years. Definitely a great object for observers because it can be seen from any location even from urban skies.

Cheers to all

Sun powered cranes

I don't know how many of us realise that all the energy we are using on Earth, comes from our star the Sun. Having many kinds of forms, its just solar energy coming to Earth with photons! Taken from the port of Thessaloniki with a Canon 5D and a Takahashi FS60C telescope.
