Scientists to Announce Important Fermi Result on Gamma-Ray Sky
High Energy Astrophysics Division - American Astronomical Society
A new result that probes the nature of the ever-present gamma-ray fog outside our Galaxy will be announced in a phone-in press conference on Tuesday, March 2nd, at 1:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (8:00 am Hawaiian). This press conference will take place from the High Energy Astrophysics Division (HEAD) meeting of the American Astronomical Society being held on the Big Island of Hawaii.

The results will be presented by Markus Ackermann of the SLAC National Accelerator Lab and Stanford University. Martin Weisskopf from NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center will participate and provide expert independent commentary on the study’s significance.
