Could Earth have had 2 moons a long time ago?

Depends what you mean by "moon". With the Moon-Earth system bordering on what might be considered a binary planet, I doubt there's any way we could add another body in orbit around the Earth that would be in an orbit that would be stable for very long. We've almost certainly acquired tiny moonlets- captured asteroids- from time to time, but again, those would not exist for very long before being ejected from orbit.
