I feel sorry that I discovered APOD "only" a few years ago :)
Happy 12th Birthday!

Well the "Discuss" link on APOD leads to this sub-forum, so it's safe to assume that you have at least something even remotely to do with it :)

Congratulations to APOD on 12 years of entertaining and educating us, its lucky discoverers! And many thanks to the creators and support staff for your dedication. Personally, I've learned much about astronomy and science in general from the daily APODs and following the interesting links from them. Please keep up the great work.

I beg to differ, as the forum you run has greatly increased my interest (and knowledge) in the subject matter.
Please don't sell yourself short, great value is placed by the people who visit this forum as well as APOD.
Regards,
Andy.

Andy, we (moderators) do not "run" this forum, we only keep it clean. As I recently said, I think you can join in, I guess we could always make use of another spam fighter. Nereid is currently board admin, but I'm affraid she's not "running" the board either, in that she can't make changes to board software, etc. RJN is real boss, he's that man who picks a pictures also, but you just don't see him around often.

Happy Birthday, APOD! You're like the visually fascinating and Universe-sized 12-year-old sibling I never had.

aside: two of my housemates and one of my coworkers share APOD's birthday (but not year)

Ah I see.
Well, in keeping it clean you make it a very worthwhile resource.
If not for the mods it would degenerate into a right old mess.
Anyway, the offer is genuine and I have some experience cleaning dirt off the floor. :)
And a Happy 12th Birthday to APOD too.
Puberty next year...
Regards,
Andy.
