heapow discussion???

Post by Black wHole » Mon Sep 26, 2005 9:22 pm

In addition to apod I visit the High Energy Astrophysics Pic of the Week site . It often raises puzzling questions that would make for great discussion. Can the Asterisk add a discussion forum for HEAPOW?

I've edited original post to make it a poll. Let's see what people will say. IMHO, there's room for these discussions in current forum rules, but I think this requires many people who are ready to jump in, so if there are none around, why make empty topics, right?

By all means, discussion is warranted I would say. :D

This APOD discussion forum started with the Voynich manuscript, which has little to do, if anything, with astronomy. Then the "streak" found in a Oz. So this HEAPOW should fit right in.

Been busy working on the boat before winter sets in, sorry. :(

What about NASA image of the day?

Or Space.com Image of the Day

Or NASA's Hubble site
http://hubblesite.org/gallery/album/

They all have wonderful images.

two things I'd like to see in posts about those:
1. clear reference to image source in the topic subject (like "APOD Sep/27", "APRTHR Sep/27", etc;
2. URL in the very beginning of the post.
