Titan: A Climate Out of This World
NSF: Discoveries (2010 Jan 7)
Researchers using ground-based telescopes and space probes make amazing discoveries about the atmospheric cycle of Saturn’s largest moon, and find similarities to Earth. This composite visible/infrared view of Titan shows a world with features strikingly similar to our Earth: clouds, haze, mountain ranges and a thick atmosphere. The true color of Titan is orange.
