Far East Lights
360 pano of the most east poin in italy, Punta Palascia lighthouse.
Start from house early to shot the landscape during blue hour, I had to fight with heavy wind condition on location. When the night comes, my friends reach me to the spot. For some of them was the first milky way shot, first time they saw it naked eyes. Amazing. We had time to try different composition and lots of fun. Unfortunately, i hit the tripod during shots, and once at home i saw the star trailed, so the night later, i came back solo to location and shoot once again the sky, but the show was beautifoul as always.

Comet Neowise, Meteor, NLC

The original idea was to take a photo with a comet and my friend, but what I didn't expect would be a bright meteor flying over my field of view, which enhanced an already nice photo :)

It was a truly unique sight along with beautiful mountains, the rising Sun, the Moon and the morning NLC. There is also a rising Venus in the far right above the horizon.
A moment that will probably won't repeat again!

It is located on the main ridge of the Low Fatra mountain range, Slovakia.
In the foreground, from the left side, there is Poludňový grúň (1460m), rocky Veľky Rozsutec (1610m) and grassy Stoh (1607m)

My recently completed Messier catalog:
Click to view full size image
This has been my longest running project, though it wasn't really until spring of 2019 that I pushed to photograph the entire catalog. The majority of these were shot using a 6" f/4 newtonian and ASI1600, but a couple were taken with a 50mm lens or an ETX125 maksutov. Most were shot from my apartment roof in Athens, GA (Bortle 7), and about 10 were taken from various dark sites in GA and NC. The exposure times per object range from 25 minutes (M7) to 19 hours (M78).

Colors of the gas tail of comet Comet C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE)

In first image a point in the gas tail had been used for white balance. The colors in the gas tail come from different elements, but not from Sodium because an Light pollution filter had been used which blocks wavelength between 540nm and 645nm. Colors have not been mixed (no saturation enhancement because red channel became to noisy).

The second image is with natural white balance (using stars). Color factors of first vs. second image are are 3.9 for red and 2.2 for green-

Images are aligned to comet and where captured in Pulsnitz (Germany) on Jul 14 before sunrise. Total exposure time was 60 min.
