Hello,

I'm new here. I've shot this picture during my holidays in Peru, and I was wondering if it could be an APOD...

Here is the reduced version :
Image

Nothing exceptional nor unseen here, except that due to the incredible purity of the sky at this place, it could be taken with my very modest means : single shot, 20 seconds, aperture 2.8, ISO 800, 17 mm (Canon EOS 20D).

Could anyone answer me, please ?

Does this image stand a chance to be an APOD or is it totally out of the scope of APOD ?

Given all the other Landscape / Milky Way oriented APODs I would say your image stands a fair chance

Thanks for your answer. How does it work ? Do I have to post a link to the full sized version here ?

If the editors at APOD wish to use your photo, they will contact you. I would suggest you submit your photo to The World At Night (TWAN).
