GREDs for ECIP

Post by RJN » Wed May 26, 2010 3:31 pm

I have been collecting a whole bunch of double-slit experiment type conundrums and I am considering posting them sequentially as GREDs until rebellion is rampant and mutiny is discussed openly. One reason for this is that I am planning to teach a course in the fall here at MTU titled "Extraordinary Concepts in Physics". In this course are several GRED type conundrums -- not unlike common "concept tests" in introductory physics -- and I would like to think them through better, and better vet them. Usually, I will think I know the answer, but sometimes I will be wrong. Asterickians are invited to play along.

Eventually I would like to open up GREDs for submissions.

Well, I'm revolting* already! Would it have killed you to have put "Extraordinary Concepts in Physics (ECIP)" in the title?! When 67% of a title is unknown/new acronyms, you're moving into alphabet soup territory!! :D

What a fun and educational addition to Asterisk, and alphabet soup or no, I look forward to playing along!
