Rainbow Angel

I think this is a neat demonstration of three aspects of atmospheric physics here - the high-G turn slowed the plane enough to permit a sharp photograph, which in turn caused a region of high pressure on the top surface of the plane which condensed moisture out of the air for the ethereal vapor trails, which in turn scatter sunlight from behind creating a transient rainbow :)

"Milky Way Sunrise"

Milky way and Andromeda galaxy fading away during sunrise at Kitt Peak National Observatory in Tucson, Arizona. Hubble space telescope observations suggest that the large Andromeda galaxy will collide with our own Milky Way in about 4 billion years.

Last night I used the TEC-140 to record an entire night IC1805 (Heart nebula). I imaged from about 12 midnight to 6 in the morning while I was sleeping. Results was 11 images of 30 minutes in OIII. I combined these with my earlier H-alpha images. Then I created a synthetic green channel from the H-alpha (red) and OIII (blue). I like this combination a lot because it keeps stars natural colored and gives a nice color balance.

I also had another version with another color palet:
