M20 - Trifid Nebula
Location: Taken from El Dorado Hills, California (object is about 25-30 degrees above horizon at peak)
Dates: Taken over 6 nights from May 19 - June 8, 2013
Field of view: approx. 24x36 arc minutes
Plate Scale: 0.54 arcseconds/pixel
Exposures: L 4x10min Bin 1x1; R 7x20min Bin 2x2, G 6x10min Bin 2x2, B
7x20min Bin 2x2
(total exposure 400 minutes, or about 6.7 hours; certainly could use
another 2-3 hours of luminance!)
Sky condition: approx 19.5 mag/arcsec^2 (suburban Sacramento)

Yes those are sunspots not dust on my lens whereas the other bands are cloud variations.
We had just enough clouding to filter the sun down for sunspot observations.
The photo was taken with no camera attached filters at all.
The big one near the bottom of the picture (AR1777) threw an eruption our way and due to glance by on the 30th or 31st.
This is what the sun looked like zoomed back to a normal landscape photo

The star Gliese 667 on June 29th, Its a triple-star system in the constellation of Scorpius. Gliese 667 C is the smallest stellar component of this system and its a red dwarf type star. The three exoplanets within the habitable zone of the star are called Gliese 667C c, f and e. It is 22 light years distance from Earth. The animation ( http://www.jaicoa-observatory.com/Glies ... Anim-1.gif ) in which I was surprise to find out is that the star is moving comparing to some DSS plates unfortunate no dates on them but last frame is my current image.
