Thank you all for your greetings!

And a belated Happy Birthday from me too, with thanks for all your answers to my questions.

Chris has survived another revolution around the Sun on our little cosmic haven we call Earth.

Must have something to do with the 'Colorado Rocky Mountain High' that John Denver sang about.

Thanks, all! Thought about doing a nice ride today, but since the temperature hasn't gone above -2°F by noon, I think I'll pass on that. Did ride a couple of days ago with the wind chill in the single digits, and that was still pretty nice. Lots of sun, of course. Will risk 100 km of ice tonight to go out to dinner, though. One way. But we'll stay in town and return tomorrow. Roads should be mostly clear by then.

Keep hoping these cold temperatures will deliver some nice halos and arcs, but I think it's just too dry. I did see a weak 22° halo earlier, with three sundogs. But not good enough I felt like taking a picture, and it's gone now. But I keep checking the sky every so often.

It is. I hope, however, to live long enough that equinoctial precession moves it to another day!

Just one more trip around the sun. It's a good thing it takes a year, or we all might get dizzy and fall over.
