Is it just me or there are two paralel marks on de upper left side of the image, on the surface of the rock's layers?
It might be possible that they are only marks left by the rover's mechanic arm during a survey before the mosaic picture was taken?

The atmospheric pressure is too low to allow for liquid water at the surface.

Nice bird Ann. At first I thought male Green-winged Teal, but something looked odd. Ah, no white shoulder feathers on the front of its wing. It's an Eurasian Teal. Not on my life list yet, since I haven't birded outside of N. America yet.
