Moon and Regulus The forecast for 19 December 2016 was for a grazing occultation of Regulus (Alpha Leonis) by the Moon for Melbourne, Australia at approximately 5.20am AEST. Southern winter solstice The galactic core within a few hours of the southern winter solstice on 22 June 2014. Antares is in the centre of the field of view.
