Argimusco - Star Trail Behind The Eagle Monolith
http://www.dariogiannobile.com
Copyright: Dario Giannobile Between the Mediterranean sea and the volcano Etna, the upland of Argimusco stands towards the sky. An impressive and evocative place where different monoliths emerge from the ground. Recent studies demonstrated that the site has been used as a natural calendar in order to measure the seasons' cycle. In the next coming years the Argimusco could become the Mediterranean Stonehenge. Different shapes characterize the monoliths like the praying woman and the eagle stone here in the foreground with the stars rotating behind.

Orion's Nebulas behind Atuel Canyon

1 exposure for the sky, 1 exposure for the ground, I was unable to do more sky exposures because of the clouds.
59sec, iso 6400 for the sky.
75 sec iso 6400 for the ground.

The ground shows the Atuel Canyon, located in Valle Grande, San Rafael, Mendoza, Argentina.

Sombrero Galaxy
This is a really interesting object that everyone seems to remember. The Sombrero Galaxy, also known as M104 or NGC 4594 is located in the constellation Virgo. It’s smaller than our galaxy, measuring 50,000 light years across. It has a very large central bulge and an incredible dust lane in its inclined disk. This is where it gets its name from as it has an appearance of a sombrero. This galaxy hosts a supermassive black hole. In fact it is one of the most massive black holes measured in any nearby galaxies. The speed of revolution of the stars within the centre of the galaxy could not be maintained unless a mass of 1 billion times the mass of our Sun is present in the centre.
This is a full frame image. The galaxy’s orientation is dictated by the only guide star I could use, so it may look a bit off. After all, there really is no right or wrong way up. Cropping the image would allow for a more tradition presentation, but I really wanted to show as much of the field as possible. It’s full of galaxies. That’s so cool.

Took a trip to Happisburgh ,North Norfolk UK on Tuesday 21st April to capture Milky way over the iconic Norfolk Lighthouse.
The result was captured at 3.15 AM , just before the demise of astronomical darkness. A six pane mosaic spanning from Sagittarius rising towards the South with the lights pollution from Eccles ,through to Cassiopeia and beyond . Andromeda can also be seen low down to the left of the Light house too. Aurora was also active and just visible too
30 sec single exposures at ISO 3200. Canon 6D with Samyang 14mm f 2.8 lens @ f2.8

Due to monsoon weather here in Arizona, summertime objects are frequently better observed in the early morning hours of spring.
