Unidentified streak on NSL image

Post by ETX_90 » Sat Mar 12, 2005 11:55 pm

I was searching the NSL image archive for Haleakala when I came across this strange image:

Image

Notice the streak - which looks like a satellite streak - going along from north to east near the edge of the image. On heavens-above.com, there were no satellite passes or Iridium flares at the time given on that date. This is very strange. Does anyone know what this strange streak could be?

Probably a satellite or possibly an airplane.

Not all satellites are listed on Heavens Above, and that streak looks very much like a satellite.

However it is a rather long streak so it might just be an airplane.
