Re: Rawstory: Pentagon plans for immortal 'synthetic organis
This sounds like pretty scary stuff. Imagine if all babies in the future were impanted with this genetic code so that if they commited murder the death penalty would be so much swifter!? God. The military would love to get their paws all over this.

Re: Fireball over Edmonton (2008 Nov 25)
I kind of seen a fireball meteor during the november shower. I was in my car with the girlfriend and the full outside of the car the sky and whatnot lit up tremendously, i never seen it fall, but thats what it was.
The Edmonton meteor is really cool though, one of the best videos I've ever seen.

Re: Can Search Engines Find Inquiries from the Future?
see here for proof of faster than light speeds: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/science-news/3303699/We-have-broken-speed-of-light.html I didn't see proof of anything, just some fantastic claims. It is easy to make claims, quite something else to prove them. proof was probably a bad word to use,...

Re: Can Search Engines Find Inquiries from the Future?
Time travel really is a mind boggler. However, here are a couple of points I'd like to note. If what has been said on this post is true then our futures are being controlled by people from that very same future who have access to infinite amounts of wisdom and who can see the best course of action f...

Re: OWL OR SPIDER ON DOLLAR BILL?
Going with the masonic symbol on the back, I would guess an owl. Based on the face its just a blob on a note you'd have to guess at what it is. I think its just a continuation of the pattern in my own opinion. Why would they put such a small owl (masonis symbol) on the note when they're bold enough...

Re: How many golf balls are on the Moon?
2 This is a science forum. As a scientist, I value skepticism. Based on the information you provided, I'd say the correct answer is: the evidence very strongly suggests that there are two golf balls on the Moon, although it remains possible that there is a different number. Shepard might have inadv...

Re: The Mysterious Voynich Manuscript (2010 Jan 31)
the blue shaded areas would be daytime and the red pins would be the red or orange sun when it gets close to the horizon, therefore changing to night which would be the white pie pieces. thats what i see anyways. The stars actually get a fair bit lighter the closer you get to the sun if you look cl...

Re: The Mysterious Voynich Manuscript (2010 Jan 31)
I'm pretty new to this type of discussion, so here's what I think so far. It looks like it could be a calender keeping track of solar eclipse throughout a 12 month period over 3 years. I get the 3 years from the 3 outer rings. Or maybe it's just a 12 month calender with the red arms representing mo...

Re: The Mysterious Voynich Manuscript (2010 Jan 31)
It would appear that there is no consistency in the centrepieces of these circles, this may be for reasons unbeknownst to us but i found this on wikipedia of all places which shows page 68 of the book which folds out and shows three similar-esque circles to the one we are discussing. the point of in...
