I second the replies here: this is a spectacular image!
Fabulous job, Mr. Olson!

Re: APOD: A Live View from the ISS (2014 May 14)
There will eventually be video in the video, right?
I love the line, (emphasis added) - "Pictured above, when working, is the live video feed...." At least it's a disclaimer, of sorts.
Hopefully it'll get straightened out and become viewable soon.
Awesome idea, though!

I like the colors used for processing in this image; somewhat different than what we've seen before, IMO.
Nice.

Oops. Yes, it turns out that the adventurous photographer is not actually pictured here. So I have now deleted "pictured" from the text. That sentence was taken from a previous APOD and I missed it (repeatedly) in the editing. Sorry! - RJN That definitely clears it up! Thank you, Mr. RJN....

Glad I wasn't the only one that couldn't see something/one in the image!
(I don't always see the 'obvious', either.)
And Chris Peterson, I'd bet your comment is pretty close to what TPTB had in mind. Makes sense to me, anyway - thanks!

Nice image. One question/comment: In the description, it says an adventurous photographer (pictured).... /snip which I took to mean - the photographer is included in the image, however I do not see him/her. (Maybe my browser settings are off enough that I cannot see the entire image. Does...

Just so I'm clear: Bok Globules and Thackeray Gobules are the same thing? The link for Thackeray's Globules in the description has this: Astronomer A.D. Thackeray first spied the globules in IC 2944 in 1950. Globules like these have been known since Dutch-American astronomer Bart Bok first drew atte...

Interesting image.
Now, can someone point out the invisible cat that is supposed to be in the last link of the description? The one in the 'disappeared' link..?
TIA!

Patrick60, according to the image in this link, I believe what you're asking about is one of Saturn's moons, Tethys.

I saw this in the email announcement from ciclops.org and I am in absolutely gobsmacked at the resolution and clarity. This image is my favorite: Saturn 38754 , but only because it's got everything labeled. (The unlabeled images are uber-fabulous too.) Two thumbs way up for the Cassini Team! :thumb_...

makc, if you read the article, you'd know that's exactly what it was saying: USA results are weird - the weirdest of the weird, in fact. But I will go out on a limb and say that I bet even 50 bucks matters to many of us here.
And very interesting article, geckzilla. Thanks for sharing.

Very cool image/s!
Billsey, my guess is it's most likely an imperfection that wasn't removed from the image. Maybe someone will come along and let us both know for sure.
